How to make maps for Cities XL

  1. The Funky Monk
    A few people have been trying to make maps so I though I would upload my old tutorials until I finish the new ones I am doing.

    For the resources(citylinks, water, agriculture) you can make them easily.

    For water, farms etc just make create a new file in a photo editor and colour it white. This will put resources everywhere. Then just import the same file into the map editor for each resource.

    For city links, create a new file, fill it in black and make the edges white.

    I'm still making the new tutorials so hopefully this will help you out for now. If you need further help just ask in the comments.

    Here are the videos.

    Happy mapping. :D

      Don't I don't do it like that. I just create a new layer over the shadowmap and paint it light purple, then merge layers.

      It might be this line in the xml:
      <Rock>
      <RockSlope>0.816964</RockSlope>
      <RockSlopeBlending>0.131696</RockSlopeBlending>
      </Rock>
