Ever lost a city due to a corrupt save and you forgot to back it up? That city might still not be lost, as there is one way to try to make it work again - this method saved a city of mine. It is not guaranteed to work as the 2 older saves may also be corrupt. Backing cities up is the only sure way to avoid losing them.
- Compatible:
- CitiesXL 2009
- CitiesXL 2011
- CitiesXL 2012
- CitiesXL Platinum
Instructions:
1. Allow displaying known file extensions
2. Go to C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XL 2012\live\offline\solo\solosaveregionXmapXX\auto
3.Do this:
If it does not work with .old try with .old2
4. You are done!
As said before, this method will not work if the previous 2 saves are corrupt as well.
