The Kavanagh Building is an Art Deco skyscraper in Buenos Aires. Standing at a height of 120 m, the building is characterised by the austerity of its lines, the lack of external ornamentation, and its large prismatic volumes. Its construction took only 14 months and was commissioned in 1934 by Corina Kavanagh. The building has a towering form, with symmetrical setbacks and gradual surface reductions. It was created from the outside in, adapting outstandingly comfortable facilities to the space available. The structure was carefully designed to be as slender as possible, in order to avoid unnecessary weight, and influenced by the city planning regulations. The design combines Modernism and Art Deco with a Rationalist approach and is considered the apex of early Modernism in Argentina.

Looks unique, which is fantastic for me! Not all buildings look like a giant block of glass.

I love that building! For several reasons:
First of all, because of its style, and this stepwise form.
This set back parts make it look like it was "family" of smaller
buildings below some larger one. Of course, I do like it also because
of it slightly resembles the Stalinist Architecture Buildings in Moscow, e.g. the Seven Sisters (oh, is kipate a Commie, the 'Muricans will wonder ^^)...

Second of all, the height of the Building makes it fit into cities of almost any size, I guess from 250,000 People upwards, so you can use it anywhere you like :)

Third of all, the triangular shape adds some extraordinarity, and when you can make some nice Plaza around, it will look simply great!

    I have one question nonetheless:
I am not sure about the nightlights,
they may be in accordance to reality; but I would like to have some
kind of floodlight, too, at least for the lowest and highest plain/step...
