Your computer is a bit limited in CPU power, and when you launch your city, the game lag a bit.

How to improve your Cities XL and XXL game to make it more fluid, with a lot less Lag

To do this you must assign the correct priority to start your game

We will see how to change the priority of the launch process of your game.

To start my "CitiesXXL.exe" process with the "realtime" priority, I will create a small file with my notepad called a "Batch"

I type the following code:

start / realtime CitiesXXL.exe

or :

"start" is the command that opens a program
"realtime" sets the priority to "realtime"
"CitiesXXL.exe" is the process I want to launch




Click on the "File" menu, then "Save As"




In the "Type" field, select the line "All files"



Give your batch a name (for example "CitiesXXLrealtime"), then end the file name with the extension ".bat" - Then click on "Save"



Your file looks like this: a small notched wheel.


Put it in the directory that contains your program (in my case C: \ Program Files \ Steam \ SteamApps \ Common \ Cities XXL)



Before launching your game, create a desktop shortcut,
and double click on this desktop shortcut in order to launch your game


To start your game double click on this desktop shortcut



That's it, every time you start your game by double clicking on this shortcut
your CPU gives maximum power and prioritizes in real time
In this way your game is more fluid
