The World Trade Center Twin Towers were landmarks in New York city skyline. Both had 110 floors (which was a record until Burj Khalifa). Each tower had 3,800,000 square feet (350,000 m2) of office space. Altogether the entire complex (with 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 WTC) of seven buildings had 11,200,000 square feet (1,040,000 m2) of space.
1WTC, the north tower was 526m (1727 ft) high with its spire, 417m (1368ft) high without. It was the headquarters of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
2WTC, the south tower was 415.0 m (1,362 ft) high and had an observatory deck on the 107th and 110th floor AKA "Top of the World observation deck".
On a typical weekday 50,000 people worked in the towers with another 200,000 passing through as visitors. The complex was so large that it had its own zip code: 10048. The towers offered expansive views from the observation deck atop the South Tower and the Windows on the World restaurant on top of the North Tower. The Twin Towers became known worldwide, appearing in numerous movies and television shows as well as on postcards and other merchandise, and became seen as a New York icon, in the same league as the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and the Statue of Liberty.

About the model:
Even if there already is a "twin towers mod" by microsphera, it wasn't finished and didn't have details. On Preyfr60's suggestion, I created new models.
This mod presents itself as two different towers that you can place like you want: north and south tower.
