- 5/5,
Titanic job! It must have taken forever to finish it. I see that you (just like me) love to use limitless buildings... but. I think in a lot of places you used too much different styles of buildings to combine. So in a lot of places it turned out a bit messy an too chaotic. Just my opinion... Overall the city is just fantastic. That hotel is superb! I would love to see more close up pics of other interesting places around the city.

Thank you! Very appreciated (Hope this "Titanic" doesn't sink ;-))! As i said in the beginning of th CJ, the city is not finished. By far not finished. About 55 or 60% maybe, so please patience. The suburbs and rurals take a lot of time :-)
I was thinking a lot about the style before i started this city... I tried to avoid a similar result to one of my other cities, so no red roofscape like in De Cleerk or no suburbs like in South Point... This was a kind of style i have not yet created. The inner city of London was my model, don't know if i have succeeded lol
Looking forward for Brimini :-)

After reading kipate's review, there's not much left to say =D I really like your city and its facts and history... I'm not sure if I'd trust your mayor though =P

- 5/5,
So first of all, I do have to complain about the fact that only 14 people
have rated this CJ so far, though its brilliance and love to the detail
deserve a (very good) rating by anyone around. I for myself have to say that
I had started several reviews on this CJ already, but never had the time to finish them, due to their length...
So, just to make sure, but of course you do know that we both often have disagreed on certain urbanistic features and, regarding the game's buildings
(in-game or modded), loudly debated on specific compositions.
Hence, you will naturally not agree with all my critique (yeah, there is
a little critique)...
So I will start with the National Airport: I love that geographical location
close to the city center, it must be a terrific view for all the passengers
that land or start there, and it reminds me a bit on the LaGuardia Airport
in New York City. I do love the terminals and the runways have a realistic length to handle the airplanes. I just hope that you made sure to have enough nightlights to enable the pilots to see where to start landing :D
I nonetheless think that you missed an option to allow for landing or taking off on both directions of the runway closer to the central island.
Right now, there is only one landing zone for both runways.
Coming to the center itself, I think that you did a fantastic job with the coastline, that's simply stunning, and I guess it would be a famous spot for tourists in real live and for the inhabitants too. All that options for jogging, walking together as a couple holding hands, etc. ...
That cruise terminal looks very nice, too, very good combination of mods, I have to say.
In my opinion, some areas have not really many parks around, and I don't know whether in real life, the coastline walk alone would suffice as a recreational spot (e.g. the area behind the CBD in Channington).
The parks you have nevertheless do look fabulous, good job :)
A nice mixture of geometrical and just playful elements.
The train stations look quite good and quite American, to be honest,
but that it makes it just more realistic, as several of your cities do have this American touch, and I guess this one belongs to them, too.
The road layout also has this slightly unordered grid, good job :)
At parts though I do find the choice of buildings a little strange,
you do mix a lot of styles, and sometimes you took too many different styles, at least that is what I say.
A bit about the surroundings: well, to be honest, that castle island looks a bit oversimplified for me, I had hoped for more gardens, a bit more like some French castle. The other areas do look very nice, though,
with a bit of similarity to De Cleerk's suburban areas.
Regarding the use of no collision and stuff, you are really becoming a master of custom-made buildings, e.g. that hotel is really majestic :)
The background data is top notch, as I expected, and I like that you have made some options for catching our interest, e.g. what will happen to the bridge, will the costs explode, etc. ...
Cannot wait for more, brilliant stuff you have presented here so far,
and please take some nice views from the airport facing the inner city!-

OMG, that's the longest review i've ever seen. Thank you for taking the time and explaining your point of view. Indeed, we have different tastes in many issues regarding city planning. But no deal, that makes this game and this website interesting. :-)
Airport:
Yes, you are right. the landing stripes only allow landing and takeoffs in one direction due to the terminal building and the rocky hills in the backyard of the airport. Usually i haven't even planned to place an airport on that map, it is too hilly. But a city of that size should have an airport on the map... But it is limited of size and use, so it is just an National Airport.
Coastline:
Thank you. The coast of Ipswich Island is steep, so the option of a coastline like this has offered itself actually. I'll take some closeups for more details later on. :-)
Hmm, i don't know how much park area i have on the island. During creation it felt like above average. The coastline offers more than it seems, there are some plazas and smaller parks too. And you must not forget the forests on mainland behind shetwood for example, what also allows long stays and possibilities to enjoy. Thank you nevertheless for the acknowledgement of the existing parks.
To be honest, i don't really see main differences between trainstations in europe or USA. But maybe i've just no idea about it. LOL. Thank you for calling me master of building placements and street layout! :-)
That castle should look a bit isolated intentionally, so no gardens and parks aroud it, just walls of former (harder) times. Castles in urban areas may deserve some decorations, that's right. :-)
The pictures show just a snapshot (don't know how to translate "Momentaufnahme"), so maybe you are disappointed to hear the Hays Bridge never will be finished :-P It's just special to have a bridge under construction :-)
Thank you for the review. For more discussions we can go on in the discussions tab ;-)

- 5/5,
In my opinion this is not the best city built by you. It's still a good effort and we should take into account that this cj is still under development. I Just don't understand why an anonymous rate your cj with *** without having appointed any reasons for such a low rating.
Anyway, it deserves a ***** rating-
Author's Response
I accept your opinion of course and also appreciate you gave me 5 stars nevertheless. The map is maybe a bit out of place for a big european city, because the suburbs are away from downtown and main city, so no transition. Close ups and aerials for showing more details will come :-)

Nice city you got! Just didn't find it very similiar to London:P Anyway, I like your ideas and your country! I always focus on education especially universities when building cities, so eager to see more of your acadamic areas.

Author's Response
The map isn't similar to London, but i did not dare to fill the London map... My game would lag and crash, i'm afraid. I focused on the inner city only. :-) Don't await Campus areas, i built bigger buildings and complexes as universities considering the density of the city. Thank you very much for your review!
