I had forgotten how much I like this city. I thought I had rate it a long time ago - it is above a 5 in my opinion. In addition to the great city itself, I appreciate that your cj includes maps and lots of overview photos, so that I can get a real sense of the city.

Terrific presentation you've got there. The map you made is pretty fantastic. I love how much work you put into the highways, those intersections are great. And of course the city itself is incredible... can't wait for more updates.

Nice city! The road network is quite remarkable, not to mention the caravan camping site. :)

      Author's Response
Yes, even though it is still a grid layout most cities in Australia the grid changes shape and direction so it almost doesn't look like a grid layout.
When people just use the auto grid function and make a basic grid shape, it can look very boring and they usually haven't worked very hard to create it.
My city has grown a little at a time and that makes it look more interesting.

My road layout for the freeways I think looks well integrated and I tried to not make too many big bridges as it would be in real life (smaller bridges across smaller gaps = cheaper construction cost).

I just had to make some caravan parks, I'll probably make a few more too.

Thanks for all your comments guys.

Great city , i really like this city! It has a good city center with the mixture of New York , Latin American , Medditerean and German wall to wall buildings! And it has also a very realistic CBD! And i really apriciated that you build campings like in my toturial , thats supergreat! You'd have a lot of greenery like real life forests and agriculture! And malls i like to. And your infrastructure looks totaly combined with Australia! Only thing i miss is variation in suburbs with more curved roads! And suburb variation from rich , poor and density of citizens! Like rowhouses like the Dutch pack from Axel. Or Victorian Houses like in real life Australia. You surely need more Unskilled and Skilled workers. And some Elite suburb housing is also a good idea! And some leisure and playing gardens would be nice! And don't forget you don't have a airport , huge city park , beaches , lakes and a variation of city services. Anyway i wouln't give you 4 stars , because this city is very organized and beautifull , but really impossible to recreate or create a city that very look like this! Thats why i give you five stars. You know now + and - points of the city! And don't forget its funny to add a open mine , because thats also creating more realism!

      Author's Response
Thanks, I try to mix it up so it doesn't look too repetitive. Lol I didn't see any tutorials for camping, I just build it like I seen it around Australia. There's still more forest and farmland to build (all the way round the city) and a couple more shopping malls too.

Curved roads is a more modern thing in Australia, so usually only the outer suburbs have them and they are still being built.
There is a variation in my suburbs with rich and poor, and the density too which is why there is a lot of the German pack around the city centre and built up areas, then the further out from the centre is single houses.
We don't have row houses in Australia, we have some old terraced homes but only a little and usually very close to the city centre.
I have built plenty of unskilled and skilled (60-70%) in my city. I use the german pack unskilled and skilled plus the latin pack for inner areas, and McMansion pack and Mississagua (or whatever it was called) for the outer areas.

I will be adding sports fields soon, and some regional gardens.
I might not build an airport in this city so it will be an imaginary one just outside the map. I have just finished the city centre park and the central square, plus I might do a quarry instead of a mine.

Great city and great presentation. I especially like the waterfront and ferry terminal (although that ferry is pretty darn big!), and you have a very nice road layout.
    1. city fiend
      Author's Response
Thanx, the ferries are not too big, you must be referring to the cruise ship near the ferry terminals...Do you think I should move the cruise ship terminal to somewhere else? I was thinking of putting it on other side of the bridge closer to the port.

Looks like a major city in construction here. Very nice highways system. I like the general area of the bay show on one of the last picture. Even if I think the convention center is huge, it is very well used and placed.

I also like your usage of places/natural things, very detailed. Keep building and this place will be great. Thank you.
    1. city fiend
      Author's Response
Thank you for your comments, maybe when I place more buildings around the convention centre it will not look too big. We'll see it is easy to delete and re-build in the future.
