Lost in the Pacific

    Population:
    30000
    Map:
    Atoll
    Game Version:
    • Cities XXL 2015
Uligat, a small town on an atoll, is the capital of Tomoa Islands. Tomoan's economy is based mostly on tourism and Uligat became one of the most important tourist city in the Pacific these last years.
The first inhabitants, Tomoans, lived here since centuries when a Spanish navigator discovered the island in 1690. Ten years later, some settlers came and founded Uligat. Bananas plantations have developed. In 1898, Tomoa islands are sold by Spain to the United States at the same time as Philippines. The town was invaded by Japanese Empire during world war II and the atoll became a military base for USA after that. In 1989, the country lost in the Pacific became independent of USA.

Thank you for watching this small city (which doesn't make my laptop lagging :p) in a map that i've never seen used.

    4/5,
This city has some realism, and some legitimate planning. Good job. I like it.

Then again, you ought to add more of a story to your pictures. There was a little bit of one, but if that were to be expanded throughout the whole journal, then this would be perfect.

This is absolutely brilliant. Good job, it's very serene. And although small, it seems very livable.

    4/5,
Like that CJ, but it looks like you did not invest as much "love" into constructing the city as you did e.g. in Siorez:
I do appreciate all the little details on the airport island, and I love the concept of that military base.
But the main island looks a bit oversimplified to me,
there is dam to protect the island from the water (see e.g. on Malé),
and you did not add that many detail to the shoreline.
Also, I am missing some little historical core, e.g. some old buildings
by the British or French or Spanish people.
But all in all, that are just minor points, still quite a good CJ!
