Just had an email from Paradox advising the pre-order price is £22.99. Seems fair in these times of £40 releases.

Here is the official YouTube Video, mark the date, March 10, 2015. Also guess what it works with a MAC!

Puh, so I can mod my own garden and then copy it whenever I want
and also somewhat share it with others as a mod? Oh, I already see
myself working on some park for over two days, not even having started with
    the game :D

Now that is something I had asked about months ago for CXL...create an area, neighborhood, park, industrial park and copy it elsewhere...? If that is true even at the smallest footprint (total size of item)...nice option....!!!

Over all, I'm looking forward to the game but wish it didn't start with highways all ready laid out.

It's good to know city builders genre is alive.
but the cartoonish look is a no go for me.

Surely there will be mods and updates to that.
I would say that this all in all was not the most important feature
at the moment. At the moment, a functioning and comprehensive game was more important,
and it really looks like this will be delivered.

Yep Kipate, it's good that a comprehensive aproach to the genre is out, altought lacking the graphic side of it. And off course, never to underestimate the value of modding community.

Maybe they can consider a more realistic version in the future, but right now they are not targetting "the city painters". They are aiming for a younger audiance, which we can see in the graphics, voices and the overall feel to the game.

That might be an inteligent move from the commercial point of view and surely they are in title to it. I just heard graphics would be improved for release, etc. And they are not.

Anyway, i will keep an eye on people's reviews and comments and maybe change my mind.

I don't like the way your forced into a little area and have an existing highway setup. Plus I still don't like the cartoon look and feel.

You can demolish and rebuild the highway when you own the part of the map that the highway is in.

I actually hope that realistic buildings like CXL won't be possible in this game. CXL buildings in skylines would look silly.

Thats sounds OK then. I know that skylines is not trying to be a CXL style of game but a little bit more detail would be good.

It looks a lot lite simcity 5 of EA - I don`t like that game at all - the streets determine witch building will be build - no creativity needed to build a city. I played it a couple of times....simcity 4 was a great game...So I don`t know if I am going to buy this.....

Right now, I'm cautious. I did not play the game, but at the moment, I do have some concerns:
    - graphics, a bit to simish, and I mean sims, not sim city
    - will I be able to place manually buildings?
    - sandbox mode?
    - I love maybe to much "modular" mods, are there pieces to build my own properties (like modular airport) or are all "locked in"?
    - graphics the modding edition (of my concerns ;-), will community be able to make mods that will blend wit in game graphics?

Time will tell, for now I stay with what I got, there is no rush.
Oh, but don't misunderstand me, I'm interested in this game.

    A little joke:
    Do this game have trains?

I don't know why people rush into a pre order. Why not wait until players have reviewed it before buying?
