    Hello fellow modders,
    i just noticed that with the release of cxxl everyone uses a different naming tag.. no problem so far, but in time and more and more converted/new mods, im in fear this will become a mess^^
    so id like to suggest to find a general naming tag convention (again) for mods made by xln-modders :)

    I like supersnakes suggestion.

    Maybe @Altiris adds those new xxl filter tags to the next UIM release, they probably won't do nothing but least it would stop the game crashing in 2012/plat? maybe!

    I personally don't want to manage 2 versions of my mods. I think I will just be working on getting all my mods working in xxl. Cities XXL is so much more stable and runs a lot better than 2012/plat.

    i like supersnakes idea as well..
    so 4 to 3 votes.. which convention are we going to use then?^^ (doesnt matter if i change my vote to supersnakes then, would still be 3 to 4 :D )
    what about the others, we are more than 7 modders here :p

    btw. would a special naming for mods which are compatible with both (cxxl and cxl) make sense? guess not, no?

    Making a cover-all rule for the name seems like tedium, especially when some mods need to be loaded first or last (the ZZZ or _ thing) based on dependencies of other mods.

    XXLN doesn't fit because we haven't renamed XLnation to XXLnation.

    My latest map was named like this, XLN_skullz613_Land_O_Plenty_UIM_XL_XXL_1.0.patch
    I added XL and XXL so people off steam would know it can be used in both

    How XXLN can make sense? This site is not XXLNation, it's called XLNation. This is what _XLN_ is refered to

    the zzzzz thingy is always an exception of course. its simply called zzzzzz_XLN_XXL_name_description_versionnumber.patch then. my concern with having a general naming-tag is to avoid a complete mess in paks/mods-folder. we have had for example massive problems with some mods having no good naming during migration process from old xln-website to this new one here; and my mods folder of cxl2012 already is a complete mess^^.
    so a fresh and clean start would be nice i think :)
    for example one cxxl-mod here is called "knast.patch", well im german and know what that means, but others?^^ and who made this mod? which version is it? well, who knows?^^

    btw, seems like we have a trend to XLN_XXL_name_description_versionnumber.patch :)
    im going to use this in my tutorial now until we have more and different votes :)

    Its my Paks folder (CXL Platinum) , as you see I have sever folders so I have the overview ..before i was storing my mods just in one single folder,and that was a mess. just wanted to share :D

    yeah tried that too for cxl2012 once, but couldnt manage to do it due to all those weird namings, have had no idea what mod this could be... and trying out 1000mods manually? no thanks :D
    but for cxxl i use categorie-folders now from beginning :)
    oh btw, you should update my bridge pack haha :D v.1.1 is more comfortable in menu ;)

    .exe mods in Paks folder? o_O Those are installer files, game recognizes only .patch and .pak files from this folder.

    I use this folder, in case i need to re-install a .exe file, because i never know in what directory .exe files extract their content
