DLC and preordering is something I really don't like about gaming lately. I sometimes understand why people preorder the next game in a series but it's hard to justify for a new game. If they offer a discount on their retail price for preordering, then I can understand. Good price at least!

Like many others said I really really don't like how it looks... A cartoon city made from plastic and rubber. Even the ground and trees look like plastic and rubber. Possibly the reason for that is to make the performance better.
We will see how it turns out.

we will see. but it's about people. who likes design, cities xxl is the best option. and who likes more depth simulation, cities skylines looks nice in this way so far. I for one don't have a problem with graphics. here is another interesting video

not a fan of the "cartoon" design either, but love the water dynamics!! creating dams, spill-overs, fooding, pollution, that is really cool!!

I don't pre-order games, but this is likely going to be an exception.

Besides I wish to support Finnish game industry

It would be nice if there was a free weekend with this game. As far as I know, there is no demo version of this game.
So free weekend would help convince people "on the fence".
