Floro Map, City Building Contest August 2017

A little progress...

I might not be able to submit my city to the contest on time i guess...not really satisfy what i have done so far...

 

I finally started something after a trip to Alsace
This is an European town called Tsimarza :


The medieval castle of Tsimarza

 

Wow, @Clemech4, that little town looks amazing to me
But if I was the mayor of that town, I would have banned modern highrises out of the city walls
Your castle is fantastic as well! But maybe make it a bit bigger? Also, the big inner castle trees disturb me a bit. If you delete them, you will be able to get awesome frog-perspective screenshots from the pedpaths onto the main castle buildings that sit atop of DrazicDesign's rocks
But nonetheless, your cities never cease to amaze me

Some rich businessmen bought field into the town to build very expensive hotels and housing ^^
For the castle, the slope was too high for a plaza without trees, i'll try to fix that. I visited some castles in Alsace (that's why i built a castle xD ) and they weren't that big, i think the size is good

For my part, here is the skyline of the city at sunset taken from the double deck

 

@Drazicdesign, what a wonderful silhouette you have created
And I a looking forward to seeing the highway network that you created, seems like a winner to me already

 

Who participates in the contest, did you notice that the plaza changes its color when it is built on the shore (gets darker)? In the picture below, the plaza near the crane is almost black and should be gray. And on her right, she changes her color, from gray to black. Is it normal, or is there a bug? Thanks

 

No it's always like that when shore is steep, some plazas become darker, some others keep the same colour with black spots...

How did you manage to get that color balance ?

 

with photos from win 10. Select edit, change a bit "enhance your photo" then i go to adjust and changed light, color and clarity. And these are the most advanced photoshop knowledge I have.

 

This seems to be good news! But do not be too indecisive! Time goes fast....
