    The shopping mall pictured is part of a large urban renewal project in central Europe. Design characteristics of the area are derived from the remnants of its industrial past. Perhaps this picture is a better choice:

    Well, that obviously was a stupid mistake. I meant that Budapest was about 1000km east of the mystery city. Thanks for pointing out my error, kipate. Glad you recognized it anyway, Peter912.

    That tower is the give away. The city is Košice, Slovakia. The buildings are the St. Elisabeth Cathedral and the St. Urban Tower.
