I found this panoramic by chance, it's not a city I was considering for the mc, but it may be a good challenge.

 

It looks like it might be in California a few years ago in the early Summer since there are no big enough cities in Washington that have areas that look like that (we do have areas that look like that) so I think it would be North California somewhere.

Actually, is a nice city, especially when the trees in the sidewalks are full of leafs. Besides, it has a great view, but that is not in this photo

I'll give you a first hint: it's not in USA

 

Well, this city doesn't seem to have anything remarkable so far.
If the city has summer and winter due to the autumn look of the trees, it is kind of likely located higher than 30 degrees longitutde, and I see no church alike things so this is not Europe nor big Latin cities maybe? Since it makes me feel a little dry, I'm relying on my (bad) luck to guess somewhere south of South America or the middle Asia.
