Cool! I thought it would be fun if the person who correctly guesses a city could give a quick description of how they came to guess correctly and what sortof hints and tells gave it away. I realize that many people here (including me) won't always have the time, but maybe try to if you have the time. This way we can learn from each other and maybe become better at this...

For @kipate s picture I noticed the houses on the right in the foreground that told me this was a Balkan city and I knew I was looking for an orthodox church/cathedral because of its architecture. I then did a Google picture search for "orthodox church Romania" and after a lot of scrolling I recognized the church from the picture. Not really sure why Romania struck my mind first, but seeing as not all Balkan countries have Street View and that I was probably looking for a country with an orthodox majority, there weren't really many choices.

Anyways, hope someone will do this every now and then, here's the next one:

 

That idea is really good if the people here have the patient to explain. For a man like me who doesn't live in Europe, I can tell some differences between greater areas, but still not as detailed as countries.
For example I can only tell it is possibly located in the East of Europe since it makes me feel cooler than the general Europe I know. The Nordic part has too many water areas, So it is not Baltic, yet this is not 100% sure.... I guess it is somewhere in a largest country Poland in the area. Perhaps not the capital as that gate might be near the city center and yet I don's see hall nor meseum things. But I didn't see that gate during the general searching. That's the bottleneck for now.
However I do like this game for it enlarges my version when checking the concepts that I encounter and I now know many more places other than the well-known Paris or London or Rome.

Edit: All right, man, that's indeed Sanya (三亚) in China.... You played me well. I thought you guys using google map won't be able to get street view in most of China. So I have been searching along the southern beach until I found it too similiar if you put the four buildings of the five in a line like this....

btw what does this do? It is to the northeast of that well-known first concrete TV tower on the same hill.

 

@heonetsung: It is The Fernmeldeturm - a reinforced concrete tower for radio relay, FM and TV transmitting services. This 192.4 m high tower is not accessible to the public.
