    I would like to have this model (see pic, the puple 45 degrees base building shape) formed from a box (geometry), I always make my models from a box and never with 2D lines (shapes)
    I have problems with the size calculation to make the right model so that other buildings can connect :(,
    I also don't know if 3ds max has a guideline option like autocad has?
    if I knew this, i could make 20 45 degrees buildings,
    I searched the entire internet but I just can't find a tutorial on how to make a 45 degree shape from a box in a simple way :confused:

    Hello Axel, I am an admirer of your models, I think they are very good.
    unfortunately 3d max I am just starting to use it and I do not know much about it but I ask you if you do the buildings in 45 degrees in sketchup and then transport it to 3d max it would not be easier, because if I use sketchap and I have models made in the It is not so duffish to use.

    The connection of other building only depends on the bounding box, your rectangle.
    Cant remember about guideline option, thats too long ago. But you can also use Splines for this.
    Basically you can draw a 2D sketch just as in your image. Use splines for this (enable snapping to vertex, grid points and stuff to make it easier to draw). As the grid is box like, it is easy to draw 0, 45, 90, 135, etc degree lines.

    Afterwards extrude it to get a 3D-Object.

    Lower 3 corner buildings have been made for some time, now buildings that connect to it and the texture for the next building
