Ah I have a question. If you have an Island map, what are the rules for Intercity Connections? I have to make a harbor to make a city connection, but is that allowed? I'm assuming im not allowed to use the huge and grand harbor thing..

 

Harbour connections also work with the small harbours that NEXL delivers.

Skyscrapers are concententrated in the downtown area or possibly other parts of the map I may consider as a "special development area"
Lots of parks, tree-lined roads, landmarks, and green space

Heavy on transportation - intricate highway interchange, connectors, mass transit
American road type and signage
Consistent, organized, clean design
REAL-LIFE MODEL CITY
Singapore, Shanghai, Tokyo


MAPS
1st Choice: Flat terrain with coasts and river deltas
2nd choice: Large islands
3rd choice: Hmmm, any type as long as it has a long coast

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Available time: An hour or two on weekdays and several hours on weekends
City Journals: None at the moment but I plan to create a detailed one once I started a city here
Software skills: SOftware/QA tester
Others: Interested in geography and urban planning

COMPUTER PERFORMANCE
At the moment, I'm using MacBook. But I will soon buy a PC laptop with at least 4GB graphics card (maybe NVIDIA GTX).

 

Well, seems I will need to change the map myself,
as I noticed that Seoul map may give not enough flat area.
I know I can terraform anything, but I would like to have the terrain
mostly in original form around the cliffs of the mountainsides...
So I guess that I will move on to the Green Mountains, ingame,
as long as anyone else was okay with that...

And recall that I build Titania...

 

I see, I dont have any queries regarding the map change. But I do have a question about the phases. I am sort of stagnating at the moment cause I cant go over 10.000. How does one continue to the next stage? Must we all continue together?

 

Yes, that is what it was thought of initially.
At the moment, we would like to have some
short pause with building the main cities,
as veija2 has some holidays and won't be
able to play until 7th December.

BUT, maybe at the weekend, we will implement
some little additional contests...

Oh I see now. I understand the reason. I'll still be active regarding CountriesXL while Veija is inactive.

 

City style you would like to build:

• I like to build cities with a old european look like latin or german. No Big skyline but not to smal.

Preferred maps to build:

• dont really have a favorite because i never can choose but i love something with palm trees and nice beaches
  

Additional information:

• Time you consent to allow to Countries XL: it depens on the day, somethimes 1 hour other day 4-5 hours just how busy i am.
• Links to City Journals you have on XLNation: i dont have any cj at the moment
• Skills with softwares: a little bit with photoshop but really a tiny bit

Performance of Computer:

• My computer can handle cities reaching a population of:to 4.000.000 but i dont like to big city's

Anyways, now we have to decide which team you will join. I recommend that you join the Dutch team, because I know
that you don't speak English so well and that Dutch is your primary language. Also in the region where they will play at, there are spots at the lower-most part where palm trees which you love so much can grow.
