Yeah, I see that. My approach is rather to use the plazas designated for airports to construct custom taxiways, which I prefer.
One could use of course the no collision premade taxiways.

Heheh nah... but it would be actually great to see what can be done with the mods we have. And maybe there are builders who don't realize what an airport needs (and what not) ^^ and how to build it...

hhahaha also u do one line airport.. but the city around????? ...and keep in mind 60 meters of free space, grass or ground for longe or short landing/take off security, expecially for the air pit (dunnow how to said in english !!)

This thread is about airports, cities are not really necessary...

 

*sigh* it took me roughly 20 hours to build this rather simple airport (simple because it has only one shorter runway, the rest was quite complicated as always ).

Why do I like this airport? Well, mostly because I feel that I resembled given efficient airports like London Stansted or London Luton quite well.

The airport has a single runway with a TODA of about 2,000 to 2,100 metres (if you do not know what TODA means, then use Google, I am not your mother), allowing for fully loaded take-off by the newest Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s (and also the A321 with just very little restrictions on fuel).

This combined with the fact that it has 51 clear parking positions (44 passenger/ 7 freight; plus a small general aviation apron) should allow for a number of roughly 10-15 million passengers a year (capacity) as well as a quarter million tons of freight.

So yeah, now I need to build a city behind on that small island that can attract a lot of tourists and also serves as a regional business centre.

Love the Kansai international Airport concept. The outline of the airport makes it very unique and modern, picks it apart from the traditional squate layout. Maybe make the bottom runway abit longer? Otherwise no complaints.
